PAULINA OTYLIE SURYS
I was very honoured to have some of my taxidermy called in for a photo shoot with super talented photographer Paulina Otylie Surys a while back for The British Journal of Photography's September Issue:
I met Paulina and her lovely friend Nicolas by chance at Andrew Ibi's birthday bash at Apartment 58 back in June, and was immediately captured by her passion and charismatic charm.
Paulina comes from a family of doctors/surgens so we gushed for hours about the wonders of anatomy and Paulina's recent visit to a morgue to view a human dissection/autopsy live.
She and Nicolas work closely together to forge beautiful still life gelatin prints that are each hand painted and developed by Paulina.
She has just released a book of her work titled "LIMBO" and I fully encourage you to check it out.

The ever amazing Geoffrey J. Finch over at Antipodium was kind enough to gift me some pieces showcasing the print I designed for them before I left for Cali... these pieces are in store NOW and are stocked in all sorts of exciting places, from Liberty to Barneys so go check it out!

I've been using the local birds tote every day... the inside seams are really thoughtfully finished off with ribbon, and the cotton is super thick, making it's strong enough to hold my laptop without digging into my shoulder!
CALIFORNIA TRIPPIN
As those of you who follow me on twitter will already know: I'm taking the next year to explore my mother country... the US of A!
After almost 10 years in London, I thought it was time to spread my wings, and see what America has to offer me before I'm too old and cranky to care...
I'll still be processing all webshop orders from over here, and all my pieces will still display their UK Hallmarks with great pride, I'm just going to be finishing and sending things off from California and then New York City come summer 2013.
To help break me into my new surroundings my mega babe partner in crime Lily Vanilli joined me for my first week in California where we shot handguns at Reed's Rifle Club (I KNOW), and visited some fab-o California hot spots such as Salvation Mountain and Cabazon Dinosaur Park.
I'll be updating my instagram feed with images from our travels/adventures/misadventures, but in the meantime check out Lily's :)

Only just realised my custom taxidermy headdress made it into the issue 7 cover story for LOVE MAGAZINE a few months back...

REID PEPPARD X PHOEBE ENGLISH
In September I had the honour and privilege of working with my close friend Phoebe English on a collection of jewellery to be exhibited with her SS/13 collection.
Phoebe and her business partner Rose are such gorgeous, intelligent and talented women, it was really fantastic to be given the opportunity to work with them in a professional capacity.
Taking it's inspiration from a group of succulents called Crassulas, the collection consists of 6 different styles, each piece hand crafted and polished from solid brass, with bronze fittings.
The collection includes:
-a large scale articulated necklace
-brass mouthpieces build on to baby's dummies/pacifiers
-reversible ear cuffs
-an articulated bracelet
-a large scale knuckle duster
-and a ring.

The cat walk show was held at London's Mason's Hall, which (coupled with an amazing soundtrack from CRIM3S) made for a suitably striking backdrop:

PARIS: Musée De La Chasse Et De La Nature
Nipped over to Paris for a little bit a few weeks back, and visited the incredible Musée De La Chasse Et De La Nature: a must for anyone with an interest in taxidermy/hunting artefacts/the arts.
The weather was seriously gorgeous while I was over...
And when I was enroute to Gare Du Nord to catch the Eurostar back, look what I saw:
MRS CHIPS! That's right... looks like my favorite dog Mrs. Napoleon Chips is the cover star of Raphael's new album Super Welter... mayje lolz!
JUKE MAGAZINE
In the latest issue of JUKE MAGAZINE (THE WEIRD ISSUE), they decided to forego the usual brand sponsorship/ads in favour of promoting young London based fashion labels!
Juke is easily one of the coolest music mags around, so I was super stoked to be invited to submit an "ad" for RP/Encore!

OBLIVION BY ANDREW IBI
Those of you who have visited the RP/Encore site recently will have noticed a new video on the website's home page.
This stunning editorial short is the brain child of my one time UK stockist Andrew Ibi (formerly of The Convenience Store). Having decided to expand his creative vision beyond the shackles of his West London store front, Andrew has been busy trying his hand at a great number of creative ventures.
Enter: 'OBLIVION' a 3D Fashion Editorial Film so beautifully executed, I made it the home page of the RP/Encore website!
