I have been experimenting with different feather dying techniques. I am yet to be 100% happy with any of them.
I'm after a deep oil slick black, and all they dyes I have been using give me a dull, muted black with altered feather texture/volume.
Anyone know a nice (preferably eco?) jet black feather dye? Get in touch--- info@rpencore.com

Jet black on those would be so sleek!
Maybe there's something in the preparation of the material. Oil slicks have a sheen that might not be too common among natural textures. Perhaps a treatment could be developed for after the material has been treated with dye, as in order to bring a more slick-like quality to the material?
Granted, I'm no chemist, I just read some books that fell under the stairs.
